1st Annual Conference HEDGE FUNDS vs MALARIA

In partnership with the Malaria Foundation International on the Campus of Emory University

During its presentation, the DITC invited the Malaria Foundation International and the Emory University community to partner with the DITC in developing a MALARIA Tool Kit for the Sports Community. This would a valuable tool for athletes in Africa, but as well for athletes from all around the world who often will compete in areas where malaria is still prevalent.

ANOCA FORUM Sports & Olympism In Africa

General Lassana Palenfo, ANOCA President & IOC Member thanked the DITC for its financial contribution to the creation of ANOCA's new web site and stated that ANOCA was looking forward to a long term cooperation with the DITC, including in the training of elite African athletes. On November 22 the DITC made a presentation.

On the heels of two successful Editions (2004 and 2005) of the DeKalb International Prep Classic where US and international Junior records were set, Atlanta's DITC is now embarking on another kind of Junior Championships, this time at the Continental level with TUNIS 2005. Tunis 2005 will be held in Tunis, Tunisia (North Africa) from September 1-4, 2005. View the Tunis Journal

2004 Olympic Champion Visits the DITC

Françoise MBANGO ETONE is considering the DITC, as her base of training for the 2008 Beijing Games. MBANGO ETONE, a Cameroon national, won the triple jump gold medal in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. She was in the United States as one of the eight Olympians, such as, Ian THORPE, Nadia COMANECI, honored at Times Square New Year's Eve Ceremony by New York City 2012 Olympic Bid Committee. After the New Year's festivities, MBANGO ETONE spent 6 days in DeKalb County to visit the DITC.
