Elite Athletes from the Dominican Republic Training at the DITC
Atlanta, USA (April 5 - 28, 2007)
The Dominican Republic’s Olympic Champion Track & Field Relay Team trained at the DITC along with a former all-American NCAA Division 1, 400m Champion from Colombia in preparation for the Pen Relays and the Pan American Games. Any top three ranking at the Pan American Games will automatically qualify them for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
At the April 19, 2007 Official VIP Opening of the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA, the Dominican and Colombian athletes in training at the DITC were publicly recognized by Ambassador Andrew Young.
